Horsetail extract

Horsetail extract contains a high concentration of organically bound silicon in the form of silica. Silicon supports the skin's ability to bind moisture and has a positive influence on the skin's metabolism.

At the same time, it supports the formation of connective tissue and the skin's healthy growth. Silicon is essential for the synthesis of collagen and elastin. It is vital in the activation of enzymes which are responsible for the synthesis of collagen and the elasticity of fibre proteins. In a study carried out with women aged between 45 and 60, treatment with horsetail extract significantly improved the skin structure and considerably increased the skin's elasticity.
